The office's high-profile location is near Farragut Square Park, a hub of downtown D.C. that is at the center of a bustling daytime commercial and business district. The neighborhood, known for its vibrant atmosphere, includes major hotels, legal, professional and news media offices, a variety of restaurants and significant cultural attractions. The expected salary range for this position is $77,000.00-$97,000.00. Please note that the final offer amount may vary based on experience and skillset of the selected candidate. The Recruiting Research Coordinator supports a large, multi-office law firm's proactive lateral growth strategy through sophisticated legal market research, reporting, and analysis. This multidisciplinary role partners closely with administrative department and practice group leadership to identify prospective candidates, incorporate key data inputs, and track outcomes. In addition, the position collaborates with colleagues in Attorney Recruiting, Attorney Development, Inclusion & Engagement, and Marketing to coordinate high-volume data submissions that enhance the firm's external profile. This is a unique opportunity for a professional to gain visibility into lateral recruiting decisions, market positioning, and strategic growth planning. The role may be filled at the Coordinator or Senior Coordinator level, depending on experience. We are seeking a Recruiting Research Coordinator to work in our Washington DC office or other U.S. city where we have an office. Essential Duties Lateral Recruiting Research and Coordination Conduct in-depth research to identify high-quality lateral attorney prospects in specific practice areas and geographic locations Generate and maintain prospective candidate maps that incorporate internal research, feedback, and action items Research lateral hiring trends by practice group, geography, and seniority level Support recruiting leadership with data-driven recommendations for lateral hiring priorities Identify and track opportunities for internal referrals Legal Market Research & Rankings Coordinate and submit firm-wide submissions for NALP, Vault, Chambers & Partners, and additional legal industry surveys Collect, analyze, and validate complex datasets related to attorney demographics, compensation, associate retention, practice strength, and firm performance Monitor rankings, editorial feedback, and competitor movement across peer firms Collaborate with Marketing to align rankings data with firm branding and external messaging Reporting Relationship The Recruiting Research Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Attorney Recruitment. Qualifications Knowledge/Experience 3+ years of experience in BigLaw recruiting, legal research, marketing research, or professional services Comfort communicating with administrative and practice group leadership Strong working knowledge of NALP, Vault, Chambers, and lateral market research tools Skills Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools a plus Ability to manage multiple high-stakes deadlines and data sets with minimal supervision Education Bachelor's Degree required. Physical Demands Remains stationary and observes information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time. When managing events, might be required to move around up to 100% of the time. This position constantly operates computers, printers and other office systems. Occasionally required to move items weighing up to 20 lbs. This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the firm's lawyer, vendors, clients and staff. Working Conditions Hybrid office environment 4 days in office.
