As the US Foreign Trade Zone Import Manager here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have a significant impact on the company's global operations and success. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, which is crucial for the smooth flow of cross-border transactions. By developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures, you will contribute to minimizing risks and avoiding penalties related to import violations. You will report directly to our Sr. Manager, International Trade Compliance and you'll work out of one of our Phoenix Metro locations on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of experienced import compliance professionals and execute a wide range of operational activities to maintain compliance with the Customs Regulations including U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones regulations. This includes partnering with internal stakeholders, external consultants, the local FTZ boards and CBP. You will also be actively involved in monitoring all zones activities to ensure zone admissions, entries, recordkeeping and inventories are maintained in compliance with the regulations. In this role you will also be actively involved in helping to build processes to support tariff mitigation strategies. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: Lead and manage a team of experienced import compliance professionals Ensure imports are entered in compliance with US Customs Regulations Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed Ensure site operations are conducted in compliance with US Foreign Trade Zone regulations Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and build processes to support tariff mitigation strategies Manage the inventory control monitoring system for the FTZs and identify, reconcile, and resolve any inventory issues in a prompt and timely manner Ensure US import and FTZ procedures are current and accurate Ensure annual reconciliation of import entries are completed accurately and on time Support on site compliance reviews with CBP, respond to CBP28s, CBP29s, etc. Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence with import regulations Provide guidance and facilitate to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including training and awareness programs Stay up to date with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements Work with cross-functional teams to resolve trade compliance issues and mitigate risks Continuously evaluate processes for improvements Manage resolution of day-to-day import issues that result in supply chain delays Other duties as assigned - depending on status of ongoing projects and support needed on the different areas of trade compliance Qualifications You must have: 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company 5+ years of management experience 3+ years of experience of directly supporting FTZ operations Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, including customs laws, export controls, and sanctions Experience in managing trade compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and compliance audits We value: Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) Bachelor's Degree Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely compliance Ability to work self-reliantly and in a team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals Strong people-oriented and communication skills to build relationships and effectively communicate trade compliance requirements Ability to adapt to changing regulations and requirements, staying updated with industry trends and best practices Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
