In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing for our organization. This includes ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, preparing reports, and providing payroll-related support to our employees. Responsibilities As a Permanent Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities: 1. Process and manage all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. 2. Maintain payroll records and files in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. 3. Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, providing accurate and timely information for decision-making purposes. 4. Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll tax laws and regulations. 5. Perform general ledger postings related to payroll transactions. 6. Review timesheets for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. 7. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. 8. Use payroll software such as Ultipro, UKG, ADP, and Viewpoint Vista to manage payroll operations. 9. Administer benefits and deductions, ensuring accurate and timely processing. 10. Manage job cost codes, ensuring accurate allocation of labor costs. 11. Handle payroll queries from employees, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Permanent Payroll Specialist position should possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the engineering industry. 2. Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including certified payrolls and payroll tax laws and regulations. 3. Proficiency in payroll software, such as Ultipro, UKG, ADP, and Viewpoint Vista. 4. Experience with general ledger postings, timesheets, and job cost codes. 5. Strong understanding of compensation, benefits, and deductions. 6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. 7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle payroll queries effectively. 9. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. 10. Certification from a recognized payroll association would be an added advantage.
