Job Title: IV Pharmacy Technician (2nd Shift) Location: Charlotte, NC Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Monday–Friday | Alternating Weekends Required Job Summary We are seeking experienced IV Pharmacy Technicians to join a growing pharmacy team in Charlotte, NC. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career potential. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and perform Board of Pharmacy–approved technician duties. Responsibilities include sterile compounding, prescription fulfillment, data entry, and supporting long-term care and post-acute care facilities while maintaining strict regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and compound sterile medications in a Class 100 clean room following USP 797 guidelines Clean and maintain the sterile compounding room and complete QA requirements per state and federal regulations Accurately fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision Stage, prep, and fill medication orders for long-term care residents and high-risk pregnant patients Perform order entry and assist with insurance billing processes Assist pharmacists with communication to care facilities Maintain, clean, and account for IV pumps Replenish and maintain Emergency Drug Kits (EDK) for long-term and post-acute care facilities Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable government regulations Monitor equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness in coordination with the Lead IV Technician Support department operations by answering phones, filing, and stocking IV department supplies Follow all departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, dress code, and operational procedures Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by North Carolina state regulations Minimum 1 year of IV pharmacy technician experience required (long-term care experience preferred) Experience with sterile compounding and IV preparation Order entry and insurance billing experience required Knowledge of brand and generic medications Strong data entry skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong organizational and multitasking skills Basic math and analytical skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to perform light lifting and work various shifts as needed Why Apply?
