A-Line Staffing is now hiring an Instrument Test Technician III in San Diego, CA . This is a full-time onsite opportunity with extension potential! Instrument Test Technician III Compensation & Schedule • Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour • Schedule: 40 hours per week • Preferred Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible) • Work Type: Onsite – San Diego, CA • Overtime: May require after-hours, holiday, or weekend support based on business needs Position Summary The Instrumentation Technician III provides on-site customer and operations support for internal San Diego customers. This role includes installation, qualification/validation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic and general laboratory equipment and instruments while ensuring compliance with ISO and cGDP standards. Primary Responsibilities • Install and service laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision • Perform calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of laboratory and plant instrumentation • Maintain documentation in compliance with cGDP (Current Good Documentation Practices) • Complete service documentation per ISO standards and management requirements • Troubleshoot complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems at the component level • Report quality and technical issues in detail to management • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team efficiency efforts • Manage time effectively while prioritizing critical business needs • Perform refrigeration equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting (preferred experience) • Read schematics and operate electronic test equipment Required Education & Experience • High School Diploma or GED – Required • 7+ years of recent experience servicing laboratory equipment and plant instrumentation – Required • 5+ years direct experience with ISO 9001:2008, 10012, 17025, or 13485 – Required • Strong experience troubleshooting complex electronics • Working knowledge of calibration principles, terminology, loop checking, startup, and repair activities • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record Preferred Qualifications • US Military TMDE/PMEL or Instrumentation experience • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computers, or Biomedical Engineering • Experience with medical devices and laboratory equipment • PC/software/LIS/networking/database knowledge • Refrigeration equipment calibration and repair experience Key Skills • Strong electronics and electro-mechanical knowledge • Ability to read schematics and use electronic test equipment • Excellent customer service and technical communication skills • Technical writing and training capability • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects • Quick technical learner with strong problem-solving abilities Physical Requirements • Lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally • Push/pull materials up to 100 lbs • Prolonged standing (up to 10 hours/day) • Frequent bending and stooping If you have extensive laboratory instrumentation experience and strong ISO/cGDP knowledge, apply today for immediate consideration!
