Front Office Agent We are a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment screenings and background checks will be conducted for all viable candidates. Responsible for handling an efficient and courteous check-in and checkout of all Riverside Hotel guests by following all the procedures and guidelines outlined in the policies prepared by hotel management. Assist all guests with any concerns they might have with enthusiasm and a "can-do" attitude. Essential functions include maintaining the highest standards of guest care and service, demonstrating good social skills, familiarizing yourself with department standards, arriving on time, maintaining a high standard of appearance, anticipating guest dissatisfaction, familiarizing yourself with hotel products and services, greeting guests, checking-in and checkout of all guests, answering phone calls, registering guests, following up on unrecorded guests, handling guest mail, messages, faxes, etc., having good knowledge of hotel room types and locations, informing Front Office of your whereabouts, communicating with Front Office Manager, Supervisor or Night Manager, assisting in blocking of rooms, assisting in preparing reports, handling room changes, creating and setting-up banquet accounts, keeping work area cleaned and well stocked, making keys for incoming guests, demonstrating a working knowledge of fire prevention, familiarizing yourself with departmental hurricane procedures, acting on hotel health and safety policies, reporting accidents or near accidents, familiarizing yourself with staff discipline and grievance matters, being security conscious, attending meetings, attending training sessions, cooperating and communicating with colleagues, carrying out other reasonable tasks, learning guest room packages, group resumes and special events, developing knowledge of restaurants, shops, local attractions, and using analytical abilities to resolve guest credit issues. Physical requirements include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
