Stock Handler - 3rd shift

Stock Handler - 3rd Shift Maintains a continuous supply of packaging for production operations as per plant's T.S.16949 system, and ISO14001-E.M.S. system. Key Responsibilities All functions will be completed as per the plant's TS 16949 quality system and ISO 14001 environmental management system. Check machines to ensure they all have boxes, processing aids, and auxiliaries as per F.P.A. form. Move stock from the press upon job completion or mold change as per F.P.A. form. Keep empty boxes and pallets by presses. Move finished pallets after the boxes have been checked and stamped by Quality control. Move finished goods to the warehouse and store in proper place. Inform supervisor when stock is low as per F.P.A. form. At the end of the shift, leave at least one hour's stock. Housekeeping: all component parts, finished and unfinished goods not being used should be put away in their proper places with care. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained. Physical Demands: Standing frequently required on concrete floor Walking required when operating the forklift Lifting up to 60 lbs sometimes required from floor to waist level to weigh material and packages; up to 80 lbs from waist to shoulder sometimes required to fill hoppers; up to 60 lbs from shoulder and above occasionally required to retrieve supplies Pushing/pulling occasionally required in front of body to push material containers Climbing occasionally required to climb ladder The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. Skills Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years operator experience desirable. Competency in reading, writing, and basic math. Valid Michigan Drivers License and passing grade on Power Industrial Truck test.
