Human Resources Administrator We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrator for our underground mining operations near Brookwood, Alabama. This person will be a role model for the "Warrior Way" and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork. Mining positions may be required to work various shifts, rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Key Responsibilities Review, audit, and enter employee timecards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and collective bargaining agreements. Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies in partnerships with departments, HR, and Payroll. Serve as the primary HR contact for time and attendance inquiries, including policy and system guidance. Coordinate with Payroll to ensure timely transmission of approved time data for processing. Maintain timekeeping system data, including employee setup, pay codes, schedules, and approvals. Conduct routine audits to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with wage and hour regulations. Support system testing, updates, and enhancements in collaboration with HR Systems and system vendors. Recommend improvements to streamline and enhance timekeeping processes. Develop and maintain documentation for procedures, workflows, and internal controls. Train supervisors and employees on timekeeping practices and system functionality. Prepare standard and ad hoc time and attendance reports for HR, Payroll, and leadership. Manage confidential employee information with discretion. Perform additional duties as assigned. Who You Are The HR Administrator is primarily a day shift role, with start time beginning at 5 a.m., that reports on site to the operations daily. This is not a remote role. Attendance on other shifts may be required from time to time. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in related fields preferred but not required 1-3 years of human resources or payroll experience preferred 1-3 years of experience in HR operations, time and attendance administration or related HR systems SHRM or PHR certification preferred but not required Preferred experience in Workday (or similar) HRIS platform and other MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, etc. Maintain good punctuality and attendance. Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality. Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good organizational, time management and multitasking skills. Environment and Safety Ensure adherence to State, Federal and Company workplace policies and standard work procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control. Maintain a high level of Safety performance through effective communication, monitoring, and revision of standard work procedures. Identify and report safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace. Attend and participate in all scheduled safety meetings and training. Ensure adherence to environmental policy, work standards, management plans and regulatory obligations and requirements.
