You will control, maintain, and schedule appointments on an office calendar. You will log and distribute incoming and outgoing mail to correct recipient. You will control and coordinate the Executive Staff's daily calendars utilizing computer software You will prepare presentation materials and awards using office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to present information. You will ensure all arrangements and coordinate travel plans with organizations and commands visited. You will review documents for conformance with regulations, grammar, format, needed signatures, and other special policies. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Qualifications To qualify for a GS-08, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing computer software programs to prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, forms, or reports. Experience communicating effectively with internal and external customers including receiving calls, greeting visitors, and responding to routine requests for information. Experience researching/following up or tracking correspondence and various projects in the chain of command, and for protocol purposes. Experience maintaining accurate inventory of minor property based on command guidelines and ensures that proper minor property forms are completed on time.
