HRIS Consultant $ 59000 - $ 65000 / Year Grand rapids, Michigan Human Resources Contract to hire We are seeking an experienced HRIS Consultant with deep Workday expertise to support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of Workday modules. This role will partner closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure system functionality aligns with organizational needs and best practices. The ideal candidate brings strong functional knowledge, technical proficiency, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. Key Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday modules such as HCM, Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Recruiting, and/or Talent Lead or support Workday implementations, enhancements, configurations, and integrations Gather and document business requirements and translate them into system design solutions Configure business processes, security roles, workflows, and reporting within Workday Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution, including regression testing Support data validation, data loads, and system audits to ensure accuracy and compliance Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, configuration guides, and user training materials Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and system optimization Provide end-user support, training, and post-implementation stabilization Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience working with Workday in an HRIS, consulting, or functional analyst role Hands-on experience configuring and supporting one or more Workday modules Strong understanding of HR business processes and data structures Experience gathering requirements and working directly with stakeholders Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Workday certification(s) in HCM, Payroll, Benefits, or other modules Experience in a consulting or implementation environment Knowledge of integrations, reporting, calculated fields, and security frameworks Experience supporting multi-state or global Workday environments Pay Details: $59,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year Search managed by: Amaka Mozie Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
