The Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Analyst is responsible for enabling and executing process improvement initiatives across Patient Access Services (PAS), Health Information Management (HIM), and Patient Financial Services (PFS) by leveraging modern tools, analytics, and collaboration platforms. This role focuses on translating improvement opportunities into practical, technology-enabled solutions that enhance workflow efficiency, transparency, and staff productivity. The Analyst partners closely with Revenue Cycle leadership, clinical stakeholders, and the Revenue Cycle Educator to ensure improvements are effectively operationalized, supported by digital tools, and adopted by staff. This role also supports modern enablement of improvement work by leveraging Microsoft 365 tools and emerging capabilities to improve how teams collaborate, access resources, and operationalize new workflows. Process Improvement & Execution Lead and support process improvement initiatives across PAS, HIM, and PFS, ensuring alignment with Revenue Cycle priorities and organizational goals Assess current-state workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design future-state processes that improve accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance Manage improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation and stabilization, under strategic guidance from the VP of Revenue Cycle Tool Enablement & Modern Productivity Design, implement, and continuously improve digital tools and collaboration assets that support Revenue Cycle workflows (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Loop, ServiceNow) Serve as a product owner for Revenue Cycle enablement tools, ensuring solutions are intuitive, scalable, actively used by staff, and continuously improved based on user feedback Translate process improvement needs into tool-based solutions that reduce manual work, rework, and reliance on static documentation Support the evolution of a digital-first knowledge and onboarding model, using modern, maintainable formats rather than paper-based references Partner with IT to explore and pilot productivity enhancements, including Power BI consumption, workflow automation, and emerging AI capabilities (e.g., Copilot) Analytics & Insight Support Analyze operational data and KPIs to support improvement initiatives and validate outcomes Partner with the Senior Business Analyst to consume and apply analytical insights to process improvement efforts (not primary ownership of econometric modeling) Facilitation & Adoption Facilitate working sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to support process redesign and tool adoption Partner with the Revenue Cycle Educator to ensure training materials, job aids, and learning resources align with redesigned workflows and tools Support post-implementation adoption by identifying gaps, refining tools, and reinforcing standard work Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Center and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system. Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience Required Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, process improvement, or project-based roles. Required Minimum Skills: Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills High comfort with technology enablement and learning new tools quickly Experience facilitating cross-functional discussions and working sessions Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills Ability to execute initiatives with moderate direction while managing multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Loop); Power BI exposure preferred Interest or experience in automation, AI-enabled productivity tools, or RPA Ability to create visual, interactive, or multimedia content (e.g., job aids, short videos, visual guides) Experience with Epic Revenue Cycle workflows (Prelude, Cadence, Resolute) PMP or Lean fundamentals exposure a plus (not required) Physical Demands: Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time or exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body Working Conditions: This is an onsite role based at Shepherd Center; occasional flexibility may be granted to attend to personal matters, with prior approval and in alignment with departmental needs. No potential for exposure to blood and body fluids
