Sr. Logistics Business Analyst AWS Cloud Logistics Procurement manages the financial planning, budgeting, and delivery economics for all AWS global infrastructure deliveries. We optimize capital allocation and operational spend across the supply chain that keeps the cloud running. We're seeking a Sr. Logistics Business Analyst to lead budget planning, financial forecasting, and cost-to-delivery analysis. You'll transform financial data into strategic insights, benchmark our performance against industry standards, identify cost optimization opportunities, and deliver measurable outcomes that reduce operational expenses while supporting the customers who depend on our infrastructure. Key job responsibilities as a Sr. Logistics Business Analyst include transforming complex financial and operational data into strategic insights that drive measurable cost optimization and budget performance. You will partner closely with finance, operations, and process improvement teams to develop, maintain, and automate financial reporting that supports data-driven decision-making across all organizational levels. Your work will focus on developing data sets for dashboards and reports that track key financial KPIsincluding cost-to-delivery metrics, budget variance analysis, and spend benchmarkingwhile investigating cost overruns through root cause analysis, identifying savings opportunities, and recommending process changes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation. The ideal candidate will dive deep into financial data to understand cost drivers and proactively propose initiatives to improve budget adherence and cost performance benchmarked against industry standards and internal targets. Alongside your analytical work, you will support day-to-day logistics procurement, such as guidance to Procurement teams through analysis so we can pin-point opportunities and deliver results. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying cost inefficiencies through financial analysis, benchmarking performance against peer operations and industry standards, recommending budget optimization strategies, and supporting the implementation of cost-saving workflows.
