PTO Short and long term disability Parental leave Hybrid work schedule - 1 day per week remote Parking provided by firm Job Details Job Details: As a Legal Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role and support attorneys with regulatory and compliance due diligence for business clients across a range of commercial matters. This position helps ensure accurate, thorough, and well-documented due diligence, providing attorneys and clients with confidence that material risks have been properly identified and assessed. If you have a keen eye for detail, and a knack for navigating complex regulations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities: Support attorneys in conducting KYC and AML reviews for business and transactional matters. Monitor KYC timelines and ensure compliance requirements are completed accurately and on schedule. Collect, organize, and analyze documentation related to ownership, control, and regulatory obligations. Research individuals and entities associated with client matters, including beneficial owners and other influential stakeholders. Perform counterparty risk research, including adverse media and public-records screening. Review and interpret entity formations, corporate filings, and organizational structure charts. Organize and manage large volumes of documents and data using document management and tracking systems. Maintain spreadsheets and compliance tracking tools to support attorney and client needs. Identify opportunities to improve compliance workflows, efficiency, and consistency. Coordinate deadlines and responses with attorneys and internal teams. Perform additional compliance-related and project-based tasks as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in KYC, AML compliance, or a related field. Strong understanding of corporate filings, entity formations, and ownership structures. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under deadline pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems quickly. Familiarity with NetDocuments or Box is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor. Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and adapt to evolving requirements. Experience with project coordination or process improvement preferred. Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed.
