Marketing Automation And Email Specialist The Marketing Automation And Email Specialist supports Rogue Credit Union's mission to deliver exceptional experiences by leveraging business intelligence tools, data management best practices, and marketing automation platforms to execute marketing and communication initiatives. This role organizes and maintains complex workflows, automates processes, and integrates data systems to enhance efficiency, performance, personalization, and optimization across marketing and delivery channels. The position is heavily rooted in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), with emphasis on automation, data management, reporting, and analytics. The Specialist ensures accuracy and consistency in marketing data, journey design, and digital channel execution. This is a technical role that regularly utilizes SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, advanced tracking methods, and data management practices. The Specialist works cross functionally with Marketing, Enterprise Analytics, Digital Experience, IT, and product teams to support strategic initiatives and deliver a cohesive, data driven member experience. 35% Analyzes, designs, and optimizes data structures and automations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to support effective audience segmentation, campaign automation, personalization logic, and dynamic content. This role develops and documents automation workflows, journeys, and data extensions that align with established standards for accuracy and maintainability. The Specialist also monitors the performance and overall health of campaigns and automations, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements enhancements through A/B testing, workflow refinement, and data enrichment strategies. 25% Creates and maintains reporting using various tools including and not limited to Tableau, system dashboards and Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Provide clear, actionable insights to guide marketing decisions across digital platforms. 20% Oversees technical execution of marketing tasks and operational workflows across email, web and paid media channels. Ensures smooth integration between systems such as SFMC, CMS platforms, Google Workspace and internal data sources. Stays current on marketing automation trends, compliance, tools and best practices. 15% Collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to define data requirements, enhance tagging and tracking strategies, and strengthen content and campaign approaches. This role ensures marketing initiatives are aligned with technical capabilities by partnering closely with cross functional teams to create cohesive, data driven, and scalable marketing solutions. 5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned. Knowledge & Skills: Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Specifically, experience working with email service providers e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and with data management. Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through professional experience. Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non technical audiences. Effective in cross functional communication and internal stakeholder engagement. Other Skills: The Specialist builds and manages journey automation, audience segmentation, and quality assurance processes while maintaining a strong testing discipline. They apply working knowledge of SQL and data structure design including data extensions, filtering logic, and audience building techniques to ensure accurate and efficient campaign execution. Experience with scripting, and coding with AMP/CSS/HTML is preferred. The role requires proficiency in analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau, BI platforms, and GA4 to evaluate performance and guide optimization efforts. Success in this position relies on strong attention to detail, a troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to manage multiple deployments under tight deadlines. The Specialist is highly organized, detail oriented, and technologically adept, ensuring reliable and scalable marketing operations. Physical Requirements: May involve long periods of sitting, standing or walking. Frequent lifting required (up to 30 pounds). Bending, squatting, reaching, grasping, moving or climbing. Finger dexterity while using computer. Continuous talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime or unpredictable schedule with extended hours. May require working Saturdays or Sunday. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to all credit union regions may be required.
