HR Generalist The HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the full employee lifecycle by managing day-to-day HR operations and providing support to staff and managers. This position supports policies, programs, and practices that foster an inclusive, compliant, and high-performing workplace aligned with P.I.T.'s mission and values. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Support Serve as a first point of contact for HR inquiries, ensuring timely and professional support for employees and managers. Assist in conflict resolution and employee relations matters. Recruitment & Onboarding Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and post positions Coordinate and conduct interviews as needed. Manage new hire onboarding to ensure positive employee experience. Compliance & HR Operations Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files. Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance documentation. Training & Development Support coordination of employee training programs and professional development initiatives. HR Projects Participate in the design and rollout of HR initiatives such as engagement surveys and efforts Collaborate on projects to strengthen workplace culture and improve processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 24 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or broad HR support role; experience in Higher Education a plus Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (experience with ADP preferred). HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred. Key Competencies Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset with a customer-service orientation.
