Design and implement customized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication abilities, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish unified care plans. Provide vital education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout rehabilitation. Keep meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all applicable state, federal, and institutional regulations. Stay informed on the latest techniques and advancements in the field by pursuing ongoing education and collaborating with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to obtaining ASHA certification. Certifications Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
