PayGrd Choose # of days worked LOCATION: Beaumont ISD Memorial Stadium DATE REVISED: 03/31/2020 FUNDED BY:PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers by preventing and responding to emergencies. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Certified lifeguard Special Knowledge/Skills: Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques An understanding of facility rules, policies and procedures Decision-making skills MAJOR RESPONSIBILITEIS AND DUTIES: Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations Complete records and reports Participate in regular in-service training sessions Maintain fitness level (swimming skills, strength and endurance). Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Environmental Demands May be exposed to a high humidity and 86-degree temperatures indoors and outdoors will be exposed to the varying weather conditions, which could include cold, rain, and extreme heat.
