Eliminate Friction.Location: Whitwell, TN | Hybrid work (on-site required when optimizing the hotel; remote work for remote systems) Type: Full-Time | Founder-Adjacent Role Reports To: Founder (direct) Compensation Range: $125,000 - $175,000 (base + performance-based bonuses) This Is Not a Job. Zero friction. Human magic amplified by systems. We are looking for a Founding Automation & Efficiency Engineer - not a manager, not a strategist who doesn't build, not a perfectionist. You build. You ship. You find a way. The Role (Plain Truth) You are the person who makes progress inevitable. When something is slow, broken, manual, duplicated, or annoying - you kill it. When someone says "that's just how we do it," you redesign reality. You will: Build internal tools, automations, workflows, and AI systems in days, not months Optimize every department's workflow until friction approaches zero Replace meetings with dashboards Replace humans doing repetitive work with systems Replace complexity with elegance If the system doesn't exist, you create it. If it exists and sucks, you rebuild it. If it's unnecessary, you delete it. Authority & Operating Model (Read Carefully) You operate in move-fast mode with direct founder proximity. You are empowered to: Propose changes rapidly Build and test solutions immediately Ship improvements quickly after fast founder approval There is no committee. There is no bureaucracy. There is alignment, speed, and decisive sign-off. You do not make sweeping changes to core systems without founder approval - but approvals are fast, direct, and designed to keep momentum high. What You'll Own (Non-Negotiable)Company-wide workflow efficiency AI + automation across Recruiting, Ops, CX, Marketing, Finance, and Construction Tool selection, stack architecture, and integration Internal dashboards, triggers, alerts, and decision systems Speed of execution as a competitive advantage The authority to recommend deletion of tools, workflows, meetings, and manual roles when systems make them unnecessary (with founder approval) Your output is measured in: Hours saved Steps deleted Decisions accelerated Errors eliminated Scale unlocked How You WorkYou ship v1 at 80% and iterate fast You bias toward action, not documentation You build before asking permission, then align fast You think in systems, not tasks You default to automation over headcount You love constraints because they force creativity You are allergic to: Over-engineering Analysis paralysis Tool sprawl Meetings without outcomes "Let's circle back" The Stack You'll Likely Touch This is indicative, not limiting.
