Safety Coordinator

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Safety Coordinator in Ridgeland, MS to implement safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations for commercial construction projects. Impact • Protect workers through effective safety training and hazard prevention • Ensure regulatory compliance by implementing OSHA-compliant safety programs • Support project success by minimizing incidents and lost-time injuries • Build a culture of safety through education and accountability Responsibilities • Conduct jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments • Develop and deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks • Investigate incidents and prepare accident reports • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies • Coordinate with project teams on site-specific safety plans • Maintain safety documentation and OSHA recordkeeping • Review and approve job hazard analyses (JHAs) • Conduct new hire safety orientations Requirements Must-Haves • 3+ years of construction safety experience • OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards • Strong communication and training delivery skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety software Nice-to-Haves • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field • CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications • Experience with mechanical or MEP construction • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, PTO, and holidays.
