This is a developmental role designed for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are eager to build a strong foundation in engineering design, analysis, and consulting practices. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, gain hands-on project experience, and contribute to high-quality solutions that serve our clients and communities.What You'll Do:In this role, you'll support engineering projects from concept through design while learning industry standards and best practices. Under the guidance of senior staff, you will: Assist with engineering design elements using established methods and standard techniques Support plan production and modeling efforts with clear, structured direction Develop proficiency in applicable design and modeling software Assist with project schedules, calculations, and technical documentation Contribute to portions of larger projects while gaining exposure to full project lifecycles Gather research and help prepare technical reports Provide informal guidance to student interns on routine assignments Occasionally travel to project sites and work in varying terrain and weather conditions What You BringWe're looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn, collaborate, and grow.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering Engineer Intern (EI) certification, or the ability to obtain it Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD) preferred Valid driver's license with a good driving history Preferred Skills & Attributes Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical abilities Ability to research and apply applicable codes, regulations, and requirements Working knowledge of engineering technologies or the ability to quickly become proficient Understanding of quality management principles Professional demeanor and a strong sense of responsibility Willingness to work a flexible schedule as project needs require Why OlssonAt Olsson, we invest in our people.
