University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Imaging SciencesSalary Range or Pay Grade$473,900 - $514,700DescriptionThe Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester (URMC) in Rochester, NY, is seekingan energetic, inspirational, and accomplished radiologist to lead the Breast Imaging division.This individual will lead a growing team of outstanding breast radiologists dedicated to the highestquality outcomes and educational innovation.The clinical mission of the Division of Breast Imaging is to provide individually tailored comprehensivecare for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. Our Breast Imaging division presentlyconsists of 7 dedicated faculty members and provides state of the art imaging including novelultrasound tomography and breast CT. Structured reporting software and automated breast densitywith risk assessment are used across the enterprise. The division is an integral component of thecomprehensive breast program at the Wilmot Cancer Center of the University of Rochester. Thedepartment operates a Mobile Mammography Van that provides access to underserved andunderinsured patients across our region. Recognized as a world leader in radiological imaging,education, and research, the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester hasapproximately 105 faculty and is highly innovative with transparent salary and incentive structures,upper limit of weekend coverage hours, and a residency leadership program. Department leaders meetregularly and are engaged and empowered in their roles.There are many opportunities to develop research in collaboration with clinical colleagues as well asbasic science/engineering groups at the university. Multiple academic activity tracks allow promotionthrough scholarly education or clinical activity.Compensation and benefit packages are highly competitive, including tuition benefits. Requirementsinclude ABR certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship training or equivalentexperience in breast imaging and a strong commitment to leadership development. Candidates shouldhave or be eligible to obtain a New York State Medical License.Rochester is a mid-sized city with extensive cultural and recreational opportunities. These include theMemorial Art Gallery, Rochester Museum and Science Center, Strong Museum of Play, the GeorgeEastman Museum, Seneca Zoo, multiple theaters hosting Broadway plays, and numerous outdoorsummer festivals.
