CAD Technician

Job Description Impact Recruitment has partnered with a full-service, OSHA-CERTIFIED, field-to-finish, surveying firm based in Central Ohio. The CAD Technician will use CAD software to create technical drawings and plans for a broad range of products. Responsibilities: Follows and understands Mission, Vision, Values Plans and prepared CAD drawings using Civil 3D and Carlson Survey for a range of products including topographic surveys, ALTNA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, subdivision plats, construction staking surveys and as-built surveys Create and interpret 3D surface models, triangulated irregular networks and contours Prepare construction staking data for field crews using construction plan sets Process and interpret survey data collected in the field Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records Collaborate with planners, project managers and engineers regarding projects Interact daily with field crews and provide direction and support for ongoing projects Perform (Occasionally) site inspections, courthouse research and quality assurance Develop better processes, efficiencies, and systems Consult with Clients and members of the design and construction teams to discuss specifications Proof designs for potential errors Present design drafts for clients and team members to assess Perform revisions based on feedback Create models of proposed designs, either 2D or 3D, using CAD software Produce final drafts based on notes from prior meetings Requirements: Experience with Civil 3D and Carlson Excellent managerial and supervisory skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive Attitude Good problem-solving skills in a dynamic setting Desire to improve processes and procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office High School Diploma Valid Driver's License Must be able to sit for prolong periods of time Must be able to work on a computer Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to work 5 days a week 8 hours a day Our client offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.
