Job Title : Emerging Safety Investigation Analyst Pay Rate Range: $20-35/hr. Duration:6+months Work Location: Fountain valley CA 92708 Job Title: Emerging Safety Investigation AnalystKey responsibilities: - Responsible for identifying and reporting safety, compliance and regulatory concerns on Genesis models. - Responsible for reviewing and creating escalation material for committee review. - Works closely with Engineers from Safety Emerging Issues and Vehicle Safety Investigation teams as needed to assist in emerging issue detection and analysis. - Review all assigned potential safety items (SODAS Alerts) within the analytics application and provide disposition. Requirements: Identify potential safety related defects and/or FMVSS non-compliances associated with Genesis production vehicles through examination of consumer complaint data. These can include, but not limited to, the following: field reports, NHTSA VOQ data, legal cases, supplier information, dealer reports, plant information, safety recalls, compliance and consumer metric testing, and outliers in warranty data. Conduct timely, data driven investigations of possible issues that have been identified. Determine a preliminary severity, occurrence, and detectability scores using established metrics and standard operating procedures. Actively track and manage assigned cases / alerts to ensure KPI's are within requirements (including handling time, response time and reporting deadlines). Summarize for management review that clearly defines the issue, and the parameters outlined above. Provide immediate notification to upper management of potential high priority issues. This position will have access to Genesis expertise needed to complete investigations with review by Managers and Senior Managers. Liaise with Genesis design, manufacturing, and supplier affiliates as needed. This is a support position, focused on delivering day-to-day tasks and analyses with a degree of autonomy while receiving general instructions and supervision. Other details: Basic automotive experience/knowledge preferred. Experience using basic data processing tools (example: Excel, Alteryx...) preferred. Completed or close to being completed - BS / BA degree in Engineering preferred.
