A temporary opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide coverage at an elementary school in York, PA from March 9th through June 5th. This position covers an FMLA leave and is ideal for candidates with experience in pediatric speech therapy and school-based settings, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians. The caseload consists of 57 students, with three requiring consult-only support and eight students placed in a self-contained K-2nd grade Autistic Support classroom. The SLP will have their own private office, spacious enough to accommodate small group therapy sessions. Daily hours are typically from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with potential flexibility given that student arrival and dismissal times are approximately 7:45 a.m. and 2:35 p.m., respectively. Responsibilities include: Conducting speech and language evaluations, delivering individualized therapy, and collaborating with educators and families to support student progress Managing a diverse caseload with specific needs in pediatrics and autism support Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in team meetings as required Ensuring compliance with school policies and therapy best practices Preferred qualifications and skills: Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or active enrollment in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience in pediatric speech therapy within educational or healthcare settings Strong communication and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team This contract offers a valuable chance to gain experience in a supportive educational environment while making a significant impact on children's communication development.
