Propane Cylinder Delivery Driver

Job Summary: The Propane Cylinder Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of propane cylinders to customers. Drivers are responsible for completing all assigned duties in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations. Primary Job Duties: • Adhere to the company's Vision and Core Values. • Adhere and comply with the company's handbook and company policies. • Provide excellent customer service by delivering propane cylinders to customers. • Prospect and grow customer base by identifying new opportunities in surrounding communities and working with existing customers. • Prepare delivery tickets and complete paperwork for processing. • Complete propane system hookups and gas tests as needed. • Provide parts support and perform propane equipment diagnostics. • Responsible for pick up, load, and unloading cylinders. • Responsible for cylinder packaging. • Load delivery truck for the following business day. • Assist dock customers in unloading, loading, and processing orders. • Deliver and assist with other propane and petroleum products as needed. • Perform all duties and responsibilities according to established safety rules and guidelines. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications/Preference:Education: • HS diploma or equivalent required. Experience: • 2 years related experience and/or training helpful. Certificate, Licenses, Registrations: • Class A/B CDL required. • Hazmat required. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: • Ability to read, write and understand English required. • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and work with tight deadlines while exercising attention to detail. • General math skills required; addition, subtraction and multiplication. • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills. • Experience using computers including email, e-Logs and other applications preferred. Work Environment: Employee is also regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Other Essential Functions: • Ability to have regular and consistent attendance at work. • Perform job duties on-site at the company assigned. • Specific vision abilities for this job include close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus required.
