Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care, Pediatric PACU

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care, Pediatric PACU Location - Syracuse, NY Job Summary: Looking for a pre/post RN for a Pediatric Recovery Room. Must have previous pediatric critical care experience; PACU experience is preferred. Schedule will include 8 10-hour shifts every 2 weeks, with a mix of day and evening shifts in the same pay period. The position may require some weekends. Qualifications: Current New York State RN license. Certified in BLS and able to be recertified. Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience in a facility of comparable size and level. Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. No history of professional license suspension or investigation. Verification of legal right to work in the U.S. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for pediatric patients in the pre/post operative setting. Perform majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision. Conduct thorough nursing assessments in a critical care environment. Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Skills & Experience: Experience in Pediatric PACU / Critical Care - 2+ years (required) Level 1 trauma hospital experience - highly desired EPIC EMR experience - highly desired NYS RN license - required
