Job Description Cable Assembler I or II 1st Shift $16.50 - $18 DOE St Petersburg This position is responsible for producing products and components by assembling parts and sub assemblies. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and/or visual factory. Assembler Will primarily be responsible for assembly of basic copper or fiber products. Essential Functions Assembles parts according to work instruction, verbal instruction, drawings, and/or diagrams Reads, understands and navigates through assembly process documents to assemble product Positions parts and sub assemblies by using templates or reading measurements Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts & sub assemblies Monitors and reports regarding product quality and equipment findings to ensure production and quality standards Measures cable length per customer specifications Documents actions by completing production and quality forms Executes assembly sequence duties consistently meeting productivity and quality expectations Meets all departmental productivity targets Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules ®ulations Prepares, operates and cleans production equipment as appropriate for the successful completion of cable assembly "All applicants must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen."
