A specialized opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a school setting in Carteret, NJ. This contract position covers maternity leave during two distinct periods: April 27 to June 24 and September 3 to November 20. The role primarily serves students in grades 5 and 6, as well as self-contained students with multiple disabilities spanning grades 3 through 8. Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language pathology services to students with diverse communication needs, including those with multiple disabilities. Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly. Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student success. Maintain all required documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Experience: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience working in pediatric healthcare or school-based settings. Proficiency in evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. Ability to work effectively with students with multiple disabilities. Strong communication and organizational skills. Schedule and Location: Position is located in Carteret, NJ. School day hours: 8:30 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Contract role covering maternity leave during two timeframes within the academic year.
