A&P Aircraft Mechanic - Avionics & Structures, General Aviation Fleet Location: Denver, CO Employment Type: Full-Time About Client A growing GA maintenance operation in Denver running a varied piston fleet-Cirrus, Diamond, Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft-with expanding turboprop and avionics work. A tight, collaborative team with clear advancement pathways and a trajectory toward Part 145 certification and electric aircraft capability. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $32-$42/hour - Based on experience and qualifications Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis Shift: 40 hrs/week; 4x10 or 5x8 schedule flexible based on team needs; overtime frequently available; rotational weekend and AOG support at premium pay Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match; flexible PTO (potential 4-day work week); specialty tools provided; factory training available for qualified candidates Job Summary Maintain a high-utilization GA piston fleet with a growing emphasis on avionics and electrical systems. The role covers inspections, troubleshooting, structural repairs, and avionics installations, reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance with room for long-term professional growth. Key Responsibilities Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on general aviation aircraft Conduct and sign off 100-hour and annual inspections in compliance with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems Assist with installations of radios, GPS, ADS-B, autopilot systems, and integrated avionics suites Carry out light sheet metal and structural repairs as required Diagnose mechanical and electrical discrepancies with precision Reference and apply maintenance manuals, ADs, SBs, and technical drawings Log all maintenance actions accurately in tracking systems Sustain a clean, well-organized workspace at all times Take part in rotational weekend coverage and AOG response support as scheduled Minimum Requirements Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (required) 3+ years of experience maintaining general aviation piston aircraft Prior experience completing and signing off 100-hour inspections Foundational avionics and electrical troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of FAA regulations, specifically 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 Must supply own basic hand tools Strong documentation and communication skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied positions; comfortable with exposure to fuel, solvents, and mechanical components Ideal Qualifications Inspection Authorization (IA) Hands-on experience with Garmin, Avidyne, G1000, or comparable avionics platforms Light sheet metal and structural repair background Turboprop aircraft experience Supervisory or lead mechanic experience Background supporting flight school or high-utilization fleet environments How to Apply At Rio Staffing, we specialize in connecting skilled professionals with well-run organizations and high-quality programs.
