Environmental Service and Purchasing Director

Overview The primary purpose of your job position is to direct the day to day activities of the Housekeeping, Laundry in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Administrator or Owner, to assure that our facilty is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Qualifications 1. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. 2. High School Diploma 3. Preferred College Degree or equivalent 4. Must be familiar with care of various types of floors, with cleaning materials, etc., and with cleaning and general housekeeping methods and equipment. 5. Must have an understanding of par levels and just-in-time inventory. Responsibilities 1. Assume the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of supervising housekeeping, laundry and purchasing departments. 2. Supervise the day to day functions of assigned personnel. 3. Develop standards, policies and procedures for the department. 4. Standardize the methods in which work is accomplished. 5. Schedule work assignments, prepare cleaning schedules, etc. Revise as necessary. Note that this is not a complete list of responsibilities.
