Overview Job Title: Core Faculty Physician - Family Medicine Residency (Geriatrics / Long-Term Care) Prime Healthcare Lewiston, Maine Position Summary Prime Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Core Faculty Physician for the Family Medicine Residency Program in Lewiston, Maine, with a focused role in Geriatrics and Long-Term Care. The Core Faculty Physician will provide comprehensive clinical care to geriatric and long-term care patients while actively participating in resident education, mentorship, curriculum development, and program administration in accordance with ACGME standards. This position blends direct patient care with academic leadership and faculty responsibilities. ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive medical care to geriatric and long-term care patients Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and geriatric syndromes Perform routine and comprehensive resident assessments Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions consistent with evidence-based guidelines Provide preventive care including immunizations, screenings, and health maintenance Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, and social services Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives QualificationsMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certification in Family Medicine (required) Unrestricted or eligible for unrestricted Maine medical license Minimum of 2-3 years clinical experience preferred Experience in teaching or supervising residents strongly preferred Demonstrated commitment to graduate medical education Pay Transparency CMH actively promotes diversity in its workforce at all levels of the organization.
