This position is part of the Responsibilities Reviews job jacket for identification of paper stock, ink, and plates, gathers materials and supplies, notifies pressperson when supplies are diminishing and need to be reordered. Obtains stock from designated area by use of a truck, loads stock into feed unit of press by hand or with the use of a truck, sets pre-loader, brings load to pre-staging area height, and engages feeder tapes. Transports plates to press, bends plates, and inserts plates in pre-loader; assists pressperson in mounting and/or packing plates and/or blankets. Sets-up feeder and ensures that paper is moving properly through the press and is in register, monitors side guide to make certain that stock is operating properly. Monitors press for any problems and notifies pressperson immediately of any problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the PPW (Multi-color Sheet-fed Press), KX-4401-07 position, applicants must meet the following Screen Out-Element: #1 - Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT ELEMENT below is not sufficient, you will not receive further consideration.
