Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing essential respiratory care to a diverse patient population. This role involves assessing, implementing, and evaluating respiratory treatments while demonstrating clinical expertise aligned with professional respiratory care standards. Education Graduation from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program is required. Experience At least one year of respiratory therapy experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with patient care and respiratory procedures. Certification and Licensure Active credentialing by the National Board for Respiratory Care is highly preferred. Candidates must hold a valid state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory and must be maintained. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality respiratory care, including administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents within the scope of practice. Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, monitoring signs and symptoms to optimize treatment outcomes. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare policies. Adhere to safety protocols, including infection prevention and safe patient handling, to ensure a secure care environment. Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes and promote a supportive team atmosphere. Engage in continuous education to keep skills and knowledge current. Physical and Mental Requirements This position requires considerable mental focus and physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and various movements such as turning, stooping, and reaching. The role involves frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases.
