JOB SUMMARY: A clinically competent registered nurse responsible for managing dialysis procedures, monitoring patient health during treatments, and providing support to both patients and the healthcare team. QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse with a valid state nursing license. Bachelor of Sciene in Nursing preferred. Current BLS certification. Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) preferred. Acute dialysis certifications such s Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) encouraged. 1-2 years of experience in dialysis nursing or critical care nursing is preferred. Experience with hemodialysis machines and dialysis protocols is strongly preferred. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand for long periods and move patients as needed. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and assist patients with mobility. Ability to work in a noisy, high stress environment with constant monitoring and attention to patient needs. Demonstrate adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write. Able to hear, see and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care. Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care. Able to work in a latex burdened environment.
