Designer / AutoCAD Drafter - Commercial Interiors (Carle Place, NY)Salary: $60,000-$80,000 | Full-Time | On-Site (8:30 AM-5:00 PM, M-F) A growing commercial interiors firm in Mineola, NY is seeking a detail?oriented Designer with strong AutoCAD skills to support space planning, furniture layouts, and project documentation. This role is ideal for someone with interior design experience, commercial furniture exposure, or a strong drafting background. While commercial furniture experience is a major plus, it is not required. Position Overview The Designer will work closely with sales, project management, and operations teams to translate client needs into accurate drawings, specifications, and documentation. AutoCAD proficiency is essential, and experience with Revit or other design software is considered a bonus. Key Responsibilities Create detailed AutoCAD drawings, including space plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and installation drawings Assist with design intent, product selection, and layout development Prepare specifications, part lists, and supporting documentation for project execution Coordinate finishes, fabrics, and material selections Review manufacturer catalogs and product data to ensure accuracy in specifications Support revisions, updates, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure design accuracy and alignment with client needs Interpret floor plans, architectural drawings, and design concepts Required Skills & Experience Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Experience with Revit or other design software (preferred but not required) Background in interior design, commercial furniture, or related drafting/design fields Ability to read and interpret floor plans and architectural drawings Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and time?management abilities Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required Compensation & Benefits Salary: $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience Full-time, in-office schedule: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday Health insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $60,000.00 - $80,000.00
