VRF / Refrigerant Piping & Duct Superintendent Encore Mechanical – Dallas, TX Salary: $90,000–$105,000 annually + Performance Bonuses Benefits: Company truck & fuel card • Comprehensive insurance • 401(k) • PTO • Paid holidays Lead Field Operations for Advanced VRF Projects Encore Mechanical is seeking a seasoned VRF / Refrigerant Piping & Duct Superintendent to lead field execution on complex commercial HVAC projects. This role is central to ensuring our VRF and refrigerant piping installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and with unmatched quality. While sheet metal experience is helpful, this position is primarily focused on technical leadership in VRF systems, refrigerant piping, and mechanical coordination. The ideal leader is hands-on, team‑oriented, and committed to developing people while driving accountability and excellence. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, submittals, and safety documentation Develop and execute Next Day Plans (NDPs) and Next Week Plans (NWPs) Lead and coordinate VRF and refrigerant piping installation activities Oversee the sheet metal scope as part of full HVAC system integration Prepare material and equipment procurement orders for project startup Plan, sequence, and adjust work schedules to meet project milestones Evaluate foremen and field teams to optimize performance Estimate manpower needs and support labor cost forecasting Enforce company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations Conduct performance evaluations and mentor field personnel Work closely with engineers, PMs, and subcontractors to resolve field issues Track progress and provide timely project status updates Maintain accurate documentation for scheduling, timekeeping, and production Manage tools, equipment, and materials to support efficient jobsite operations Qualifications Proven experience leading VRF and refrigerant piping installations Working knowledge of sheet metal systems and mechanical coordination Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with material takeoffs, scheduling, and manpower planning Supervisory background managing teams of 5–20+ personnel Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (reports, logs, schedules) Excellent communication, leadership, and field‑problem‑solving skills Leadership approach rooted in accountability, mentorship, and teamwork Compensation & Benefits $90,000–$105,000 annual salary (DOE) Performance bonuses tied to company profitability Company truck + fuel card Comprehensive health insurance package 401(k) eligibility after one year 10 days PTO + 6.5 paid holidays annually About Encore Mechanical Encore Mechanical delivers high‑quality HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and industrial clients across Texas.
