Genesis Industrial is seeking a Truss Assembler for an opportunity in Bay Minette, AL. Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Truss Assembler to join our dynamic team. The Truss Assembler will be responsible for assembling wooden or trusses used in the construction of buildings, homes, roofs, and other structures. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembly processes, a strong understanding of construction materials, and a commitment to safety and quality. And the ability to follow directions Key Responsibilities: Assemble roof and floor trusses according to specifications and blueprints. Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble trusses, ensuring all components are securely fastened. Inspect components for quality and accuracy before assembly. Ensure that trusses are assembled in compliance with safety standards and company procedures. Follow all work orders, instructions, and assembly schedules to meet production targets. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on equipment and tools. Collaborate with the production team to resolve issues related to the assembly process. Conduct final quality checks on assembled trusses to ensure they meet industry standards. Assist in loading and unloading materials when necessary. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Maintain accurate records of materials used and completed truss assemblies. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction-related role, preferably as a truss assembler or in a similar position. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions. Familiarity with hand and power tools used in truss assembly. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time. Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with wood or steel trusses. Forklift certification (if applicable). Basic knowledge of construction terminology and materials. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift heavy objects regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday. Work Environment: This position will be performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed boots, is required.
