Registered Nurse (RN) Ortho DepartmentBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave Fort Worth TX 76104Work hours: PRN Days (6:45a :7:15p) PRN I requires a minimum of 1 shift per 6 week scheduleDepartment highlights: Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team 36 bed Orthopedic Trauma/ Joint Replacement Unit in the brand new Justin Tower- Care for patients with joint replacements but may include ortho procedures with a variety of concurrent medical issues such as CHF, COPD, asthma, diabetes, renal failure. This is the dept where the most effective improvements of patients are seen. Great supportive Leadership team Here's What You Need Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program BSN preferred One-year experience as a clinical nurse required. Current BLS (required) - expiration date greater than 3 months preferred. CPI training within 60 days of hire (required) 2+ years of Med/surg or Orthopedic RN experience in acute care setting (preferred) Strong med/surg experience including charge/preceptor skills (preferred) ONC - Orthopedic Nurse Certified within 2 years (preferred) Situational Leadership style/approachable. What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
