Position Summary The Rebuild Bench Technician is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing, manufacturing and documenting equipment and components within the LCS Services division. This hands-on role focuses on the rebuild and restoration of a wide range of machinery components, including HOMAG equipment, third-party systems, and competitor machines. The technician will apply mechanical and electrical expertise to restore equipment to optimal condition, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. Success in this position requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Essential Functions • Technical Service & Repairs o Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs on Stiles, HOMAG, third-party, and competitor machinery. o Ensure rebuilds meet technical specifications and customer expectations through collaboration with engineering, service, and product teams. • Documentation & Process Management o Accurately document all work performed using designated ERP systems and maintain current service records. o Prepare purchase requisitions for required parts, tools, and supplies to support rebuild activities. • Quality & Continuous Improvement o Support quality assurance by monitoring rebuild standards and contributing to process improvement initiatives. o Recommend tools, equipment, and training to enhance rebuild capabilities and operational efficiency. • Customer Support & Field Service o Participate in scheduled and emergency service visits to customer facilities as needed. o Provide cross-functional support to the LCS Services team during staff absences or peak demand periods. • Training & Development o Assist in onboarding and training of new hires and interns by sharing foundational knowledge and best practices. o Travel domestically and internationally for training as required; must maintain a valid driver's license and passport. • Workplace Safety & Organization o Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper care and upkeep of tools and equipment. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or formal training is a plus. • Experience in mechanical repair and/or motor rebuilds. • Proficient in multitasking and managing priorities in a dynamic environment. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
