Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining both mechanical and electrical production-related equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance as scheduled to minimize and eliminate unplanned machine downtime.Responsibilities Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical drive systems, conveyors, Forge Presses, Trim Presses, CNC machinery, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, process water systems, and other equipment as assigned. Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing. Gather parts and perform repairs. Work with the Maintenance Manager to continually update the maintenance processes and systems. Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders. Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools. Assess the condition of used, worn, or faulty parts using micrometers and calipers. Maintain parts and tools inventory through parts consumption via work orders. Enter job/work information into CMMS on a routine basis. Understand electrical systems including 480VAC 3Ø, 120VAC, and 24VDC, and safely work around these systems during maintenance functions. Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical knowledge through ongoing training, industry workshops, and technical reading. Adhere to safety and performance standards. Essential Skills Electrical, Conduit, Troubleshooting, Blueprint, Industrial, Schematic, Industrial Electrician Hydraulics and Pneumatics Electrical Systems, Install, Conduit bending, Repair, Electrical wiring Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required. Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics. Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment. Comfortable with computers. Capable of operating hand, power, and specialized tools. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Able to work off shifts and weekends, as assigned. Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Minimum high school diploma or GED. Advanced technical or college training preferred. Military Experience a plus (Engine, Aircraft, and Heavy Equipment Maintenance). Experience with Predictive Maintenance, such as Thermography, Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, Tribology (Oil Analysis). CMRT, CRL Certification a plus. A structured attendance policy allows for flexibility while maintaining accountability.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a heavy manufacturing facility with a temperature-controlled machining area. Production can be loud and hot during the summer, but breaks are provided every hour to prevent overheating, with fans strategically placed for additional cooling. The facility operates on 1st and 3rd shifts, with flexibility for shift preferences. Typical hours at the E. 78th location are 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
