Packaging Technicians

Our client, a top personal care manufacturing company is looking for Packaging Technicians in Kenilworth! The successful candidate will have an Associate' s degree with 3 years of hands-on cosmetics/personal care packaging experience. Role overview: Temp contract role Pay: $25-$30/hr on W2 Responsibilities: Conduct standardized testing on new or revised packaging components and integrated products to ensure functionality, compatibility, and performance. Author test methods, document data with high precision, and translate findings into clear reports, charts, and graphs for stakeholders. Identify, investigate, and determine the root causes of packaging failures or incompatibilities, ensuring timely communication of issues to management. Act as a key liaison between Package Development and R&D chemists, facilitating meetings and project reviews to solve problems and prioritize workloads. Engage in cost-saving initiatives and supplier visits to continuously improve packaging knowledge and contribute to organizational efficiency. Maintain high standards of data integrity, workplace organization, safety compliance, and autonomous project management to ensure project objectives are met. Required Qualifications: Associate degree in a scientific discipline (0-3 years experience) or a non-scientific degree with significant lab experience (3-5 years). Knowledge of packaging for cosmetics, fragrances, and aerosols, including material specifications, costs, and limitations. Proficient in ASTM procedures, Quality Control protocols, and analyzing components for function, fit, and mechanical compatibility. Maintains advanced computer skills with working knowledge of CAD programs and digital imaging equipment used in the packaging industry. Demonstrates an inventive, innovative approach to problem-solving combined with a strict commitment to absolute data accuracy and precision.
