Strive Center for Autism in Burton (Grand Blanc), Michigan is currently seeking an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist to join our outstanding team at our bright and cheerful facility. We are located at G-4476 S Dort Hwy, Burton, MI 48529, right near the intersection of Dort Hwy and Maple Rd. FULL AND PART TIME OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE CURRENTLY Full time hours are 8:15am - 4:00pm, Monday-FridayPart time hours are dependent on the center's needs, but will be a consistent AM or PM schedule (AM = 8:15am - approximately noon, PM = approximately noon - 4:00pm)Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Supervised Fieldwork Opportunities Available • Application is required to enroll in our supervision program • Unrestricted hours may be available without pay • Please indicate in your cover letter if Supervised Fieldwork is of interest to you Strive Center for Autism can offer Therapists: • A supportive Team: Strive Center is a highly collaborative environment comprised of talented, successful, passionate staff that is committed to the Center's mission and to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Code of Ethics. • Professional Learning: Strive Center provides Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training to all ABA Therapists and additional learning opportunities throughout the year. • Competitive Compensation: Competitive compensation, excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits, long and short term disability and life insurance • 12 paid holidays per year for full time staff • 12 PTO days for full time staff • Daytime hours, Monday-Friday schedule - NO evenings or weekends • Center-based programs - therapists do NOT work in client's homes • No travel required for work • Sessions are structured to keep things interesting for children and therapists • Small caseload for therapists, and plenty of support so that you can enjoy your time off Strive Center for Autism is looking for: • Strong candidates with strong character and a passion for excellence • Relentless commitment to the success of all children • Excitement for learning and a commitment to growing their skills/craft • Professionals who enjoy working together, learning together, and doing whatever it takes, to engage children with an understanding of the whole child Required Qualifications: • 60 college credits preferred • Experience with children required; experience with children with ASD preferred • Experience and training with ABA preferred • Ability to interact professionally with parents • Ability to multi-task; implementing behavior intervention protocols, skill acquisition protocols, and following standard practices all at the same time • Great written and oral communication skills • Completion of 40 hour online RBT training within the first 30 days of employment • Completion of Crisis Management training within the first 180 days of employment Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Implement ABA treatment protocols under the supervision of a BCBA • Fluently implement skill acquisition programs for any children • Provide supervision of clients during the clients' lunch period, which may include heating or cutting food, and implementing treatment protocols related to lunch skills • Accurately collect data daily (tools provided) • Accurately graph data daily (tools provided) • Accurately complete billing/session notes for clients • Attend staff meetings as required • Attend professional development as required Physical Demands and Work Environment In order to successfully perform the essential duties of this job, the employee must be able to meet the following physical demands: • Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds • Complete all requirements for PCMA training as a Practitioner • Stand and walk frequently • Move quickly to keep up with small children • Play actively • Push children (weighing up to 150 pounds) on a swing • Sit on a stool or chair for up to 30 minutes at a time • Sit on the floor for up to 30 minutes at a time • Get up from the floor quickly • Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year • Withstand a moderate noise level About We provide relief to families of children with autism by guiding them through four key skill areas using our unique Tree of Possibilities approach.
