We seek a dynamic, multi task oriented professional to provide oversight of 7technicians/mechanicsworking on Class 8 tractors and reefer trailers. This position will direct and coordinate activities associated with maintenance functions to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personnel. Additional responsibilities include scheduled training of employees, planning, assigning and directing work, conducting performance appraisals, rewarding and coaching employees, addressing customer KPI's, budgetary planning and financial performance. Essential Functions: Oversee administration of all equipment-related documents and recordkeeping Maintain warranties, review P.M. schedules and set service goals weekly Oversee administration of consumables inventory including ordering of parts, tires, fluids, supplies, etc. as may be needed to meet operational requirements Monitor the repair & maintenance status of customer's equipment and report Out Of Service daily Ensure safety & health policies are reviewed and strictly adhered to during the course of all maintenance activities Maintain shop manuals, catalogues & bulletins in support of maintenance personnel Ensure a clean, safe working environment in the maintenance facility and any surrounding area associated with the maintenance facility Recommend equipment purchases & sales based upon maintenance records & utilization Maintain and manage maintenance personnel including training, scheduling of PTO, recruiting, interviewing and discharging Primary point of contact to onsite/local customer Meet with members of management to discuss policies, procedures & provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities Report all injuries and safety violations to the Corporate Safety Office Lead maintenance personnel to ensure a positive attitude and a sense of urgency is constant that exceeds customer expectations Conduct random equipment inspections to ensure service quality and identify potential training opportunities Review repair orders for accuracy and completeness with technician coaching, as required, to ensure continuous improvement. Transervice is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace Pay Range: 105000.00-115000.00 per_year, General Benefits: Benefits Fleet Maintenance Manager Requirements Strong equipment maintenance background (Mechanical knowledge and experience) Strong knowledge of DOT fleet equipment, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer needs. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource principles, leadership technique, and coordination of employees and resources. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective and safe operations for the protection of employees and property. Excellent communication skills to receive and convey information effectively: oral and written expression, oral and written comprehension, speech clarity. Understanding of OHSA, EPA, DOT regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Maintenance management experience. Knowledge of maintenance software platforms, TMT preferred Demonstrate abilities to build and continuously motivate highly effective personnel
