In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for safely managing drill crews, operating HDD equipment, and ensuring job sites are executed efficiently and according to spec. Learn more at Key Responsibilities Operate HDD equipment to install fiber optics and other underground utilities Lead drill crews to hit daily and weekly production targets Read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and drill profiles Identify and locate underground utilities using electronic locators and safe digging practices Mix, manage, and adjust drilling fluids as needed for ground conditions Monitor bore path, drill head, and equipment to maintain proper depth, speed, and alignment Pull conduit, cable, and fiber using safe back ream procedures Supervise site setup, potholing, and restoration (grading, seeding, cleanup) Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and safety checks on equipment Complete daily reports documenting work, equipment use, and safety compliance Communicate with project managers and stakeholders to stay aligned on timelines Ensure all OSHA, company, and customer safety protocols are followed Qualifications Minimum 5 years of HDD experience, with 2+ years in a Foreman role Proven team leadership skills with the ability to drive production without sacrificing safety Strong knowledge of HDD operations, utility locating, mud mixing, and strike prevention Proficiency with HDD guidance systems and understanding of drill logs Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., skid steers, excavators, backhoes) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specs Class A CDL required Valid driver's license and clean driving record Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening Able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather Willing to travel 75%+ for regional project needs Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life and Disability Insurance Options Health Savings Account (HSA) 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Weekly Pay Cycle Company Events and Team Building Activities Ongoing Professional Development and Training Opportunities Schedule Full-Time, Monday-Friday 10-12 hour shifts typical Nights and weekends as needed depending on project Overtime opportunities available Work Location Based in Indianapolis, IN Field-based with frequent travel to regional and out-of-town job sites Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
