Mechanical Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Mason, Ohio. Overview The role involves designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions that support the Industrial Automation business, applying strong mechanical design principles, and contributing to high performance conveyor MHE system designs. Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design process from concept through project delivery Collaborate with cross functional teams to define requirements and specifications Design and develop complex conveyor MHE systems Perform mechanical analyses and simulations to ensure performance and reliability Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering, technology, or a related STEM discipline 1+ years of experience in mechanical design and development Bachelors degree specifically in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field Requirements Strong understanding of mechanical design principles Proficiency with AutoCAD Experience using mechanical analysis and simulation tools Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills Experience delivering mechanical designs for conveyor MHE systems Ability to lead and mentor early career engineers Familiarity with industry standards and best practices Experience with product testing and validation Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes We thank all applicants for their interest.
