As a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant and historic community of Central Massachusetts, you will do more than just treat communication and swallowing disorders. You will open doors to new possibilities, restore self-esteem, and foster connections - helping children as they articulate their first sentences and aiding seniors in regaining their independence. This role offers a unique chance to work with individuals of all ages in a setting that combines outpatient therapy with the occasional support of inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, tackling adult neurogenic communication issues, or engaging in cognitive rehabilitation for seniors, you will find personal and professional fulfillment in this rewarding environment. Description Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics with specialized evaluations and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate objectives and comprehensive long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive treatment strategies. Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the therapy settings. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the entire treatment journey. Maintain timely and precise documentation adhering to state, federal, and organization standards. Engage with the latest industry advancements through ongoing education and peer networking. Education Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preference given to the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment for diverse age groups, with in-depth knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Flexible hours to support a healthy work-life balance and diverse cases. Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options. Continuing education reimbursement and support for professional growth. A collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on providing quality care and lifelong learning. A Career that Connects You - Both Materials and People In this position, you won't merely conduct speech therapy - you'll join a community-driven mission striving to restore voices, enhance communication, and generate joy through the simple yet profound acts of understanding and being understood. You'll find yourself among colleagues who feel like family, in an environment that champions collaboration over competition. Every patient contributes to a unique narrative; we trust you to help articulate how that story unfolds.
