CNC Machinist Level III TOP Global Aerospace ManufacturerJob Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist 3 to join our world-class manufacturing team at our state-of-the-art aerospace facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating complex machining equipment, including 5-axis machines, gantry systems, and horizontal mills. This role is critical in producing high-precision components for cutting-edge aerospace applications. Key Responsibilities Operate advanced CNC machinery, including 5-axis machines, gantry systems, and horizontal mills, to manufacture complex aerospace components with extreme precision Interpret and follow complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Set up machines for various operations, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices Program, edit, and optimize CNC machine operations using CAM software and manual programming techniques Perform in-process quality checks and measurements using precision measuring instruments Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency and quality standards Collaborate with engineers, quality control personnel, and other machinists to improve manufacturing processes and implement new technologies Maintain detailed records of machining operations, including production data, quality reports, and maintenance logs Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards Mentor and train junior machinists, sharing knowledge and best practices Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate's degree in machining or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist in aerospace or related high-precision manufacturing industry Proven expertise in operating 5-axis CNC machines, gantry systems, and horizontal mills Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with high-performance materials such as titanium, Inconel, and other aerospace alloys Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required Technical Skills 5-Axis Machining: Expert-level proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC machines for complex aerospace components Gantry Systems: Extensive experience with large-scale gantry machining systems for oversized aerospace parts Horizontal Mills: Advanced skills in horizontal machining center operations for precision milling of aerospace components
