Job Details AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This district is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its team for the remainder of the school year. This full-time SLP role offers 35 hours per week for the remainder of the school year. As an SLP at this district you'll be responsible for assessing and diagnosing speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive communication disorders. You'll develop and implement individualized therapy plans, collaborate with teachers and families, maintain documentation, and support students with assistive communication technologies. They are one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the country, serving over 136,000 students. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development. Responsibilities for this role include conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. The SLP will also develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs. Throughout the course of the school year they will provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. They will monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. The SLP will also provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
