An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in oncology and hematology to provide exceptional patient care on a Bone Marrow Transplant unit. This contract role is located in Greenwood, IN, at a reputable medical center specializing in complex cancer treatments and transplant care. The position supports a 17-bed unit focused on hematology and bone marrow transplant patients, with nursing ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity. Nurses will deliver care including blood administration, electrolyte replacement, neuro assessments, central line dressing changes, and chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration. Working knowledge of ventilators, drips, and critical care interventions is highly valued, as float assignments may include stepdown, intensive care, and acute care units. Shift details: Day Shift, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every third weekend and holidays on a 12-hour shift schedule 36 hours guaranteed weekly No call requirements Qualifications and experience: Registered Nurse license with BLS certification required ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred Experience in oncology/hematology, blood administration, and critical care strongly preferred Proficient in neuro assessments and central line care Skilled in administering high-risk and hazardous drugs EMR experience with EPIC and Beacon systems is a plus Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment This role demands a dedicated nurse who approaches patient care with empathy and professionalism, respects coworkers, and embraces continuous learning. The dress code requires facility-approved navy scrubs to maintain a unified and professional environment.
