Main duty is to provide dietary assessments and counsel to participants according to protocol. These duties and skills will be provided to the Department of Medicine, Division of Clinical Nutrition, Risk Factor Obesity Program. Develop, plan and provide nutrition education and counseling services. Plan, organize, coordinate and implement group nutrition intervention activities for the dietary intervention of Internal Medicine and Internal Medicine Subspecialties patients. Clinic responsibilities:As a Care Connect End User, responsible for patient documentation in electronic medical record. Execute CICARE level of visitor and patient care. Provide program orientation on an individual or group basis. Orientation includes introducing the patient to the RFO Program and available diet plans within the program, lectures series, program expectations, etc. Assist the patient in selecting the diet plan that will best meet their individual nutrition goals and lifestyle, ranging from a very low calorie all-liquid diet to a diet consisting solely of food; Conduct patient follow-up appointments on a weekly basis to evaluate progress, identify strengths and struggles, discuss environmental and dieting strategies, aid with behavior modification, offer physical activity recommendations, and adjust the diet and/or meal plan as necessary. Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to organize multiple projects for efficiency. Analytical skills sufficient to work and solve problems with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines. Demonstrated project management skills in changing from one task to another quickly in order to complete scheduled projects in a timely an efficient manner.
